British Council organized a two day mini education UK exhibition which took place from 15 to 16 September 2016 at the British Council Auditorium in Accra. The first day was dubbed the International Schools Fair and the second day was the Post graduate Fair.
11 UK Institutions participated in this exhibition with institutions from University of East London, Canterbury Christ Church University, Manchester Metropolitan University, University of Northampton, University of Bedfordshire, Brunel University London, Middlesex University London, Cardiff Metropolitan University, Aberystwyth University, University of Nottingham and Coventry University. Seminars were held alongside the exhibition on the two days and interesting presentations on IELTS, studying in the UK, Scholarships, Visas applications among other educative presentations were delivered to the participants that attended the fair.
The turnout was impressive and is due to the public’s interest in UK education. On 15 September, 262 international school students, school counselors, some parents and guardians attended the event. The second day registered 502 participants who were interested in postgraduate studies.
EUK contributes immensely in creating awareness of the UK education in the minds of Ghanaians and hence their patronage. British Council Ghana organizes two exhibitions in a year. The mini fair was the second exhibition held in this financial year.
